Wool Day 2012 April 14th
This tour will visit three farms, one in New Ipswich and two in Temple, while following the process the wool takes to turn into the beautiful, colored product you use.

Two tours will take place throughout the day.
The first tour begins at 9:30 am at Wild Thyme Farm, 280 Page Hill Road in New Ipswich. Own by the Kazo family. The day will begin with shearing of a Romney sheep. At 11:00 am the first tour will leave Kazo's and drive to Fiber Dreams Farm, 115 Webster Highway, Temple. Owner Jennifer Connolly will give a tour at her wool processing operation. You will learn the steps from raw fleece to roving. See how wool is washed, picked and carded. Actually see fleeces being done. At 1:00 pm you will leave for Blue-By-Ewe Farm, 147 NH Route 45, Temple. Owner Donna Quinn and others will be demonstration dying techniques using natural herbs, spinning and needle felting.
