If you have ever wanted to try your hand at choosing, washing and preparing wool for spinning this is the workshop for you! Learn what to look for when purchasing a fleece, then how to skirt and wash it. Preparing fleece is a low tech but highly satisfying way to work (play!) with wool. We will be preparing washed locks for spinning using inexpensive hand tools. We will discuss the when and why of choosing a style of preparation for each type of wool
Proficiency Level: Open to all who want to learn about preparing wool.
Materials: Any hand tools you may have – I will have plenty to go around.
Materials Fee $15 payable to instructor for washed wool locks from various breeds
